CRNFA Emeritus Status

Description

CCI offers CRNFAs who are retiring from professional nursing the option to retain their credential in an emeritus capacity through the CRNFA Emeritus status or CRNFA(E).

CCI established the Emeritus Status in 1995 to recognize retired nurses’ service and commitment to the perioperative profession, as well as their achievement and maintenance of the CRNFA credential.

As a CRNFA, you may choose to retire your CRNFA only, or both your CRNFA and CNOR. 

Fee

The one-time fee for Emeritus Status is $95 for all CRNFAs (both AORN members and non-AORN members). 

Policy Change

You must currently hold the CRNFA credential in good standing to apply for the CRNFA Emeritus status.  The CRNFA emeritus credential will not be available after a credential has lapsed.

CRNFA Emeritus application cannot be done online.  Please download the CRNFA Emeritus application. To complete the Emeritus application, you will need the following information: 

• Personal contact information
• Payment information (check or credit card)

3.  Fax:  (303) 695-8464. If you fax it, please call (888) 257-2667 to confirm its receipt.

Once your application and fee have been processed, your CRNFA (E) certificate will be mailed to you within four to six weeks.
