Deadlines

The CNOR credential is conferred for a period of five years.  Recertification applications open on January 1st.  To receive the Early discount, all eligible candidates must recertify by July 1st of the year their credential expires.  The recertification deadline is December 31st, except for Portfolio.  Learn more details.

Recertification Methods

You may choose one of four methods to recertify your credential:

Each of these four methods takes approximately the same amount of time to complete. In addition, each method requires you to commit the time to further your knowledge and to stay current with perioperative practice standards. The key to success is to review the requirements for each method, select the method that works best for you, and plan accordingly.
